Regulation Z is the federal rule that implements the Truth in Lending Act. Regulation Z covers most loans and installment sales, but it doesn’t cover leases. Leases are addressed by Regulation M, which is the subject of other lessons. This lesson first discusses the disclosure requirements of Regulation Z as they apply to advertisements. Second, the lesson discusses the disclosure requirements of Regulation Z as they apply to the documents that embody a credit transaction.
